The first computer-based IELTS test center in southern Zhejiang has officially settled in WZBC, and the first test will be held on April 22. It is reported that at present there are 35  computer-based IELTS test sites in 22 cities across China, and the test site established in WZBC is the second one in Zhejiang.

The test center of our university is located on the 4th floor of building 3 in the north campus, with 33 computer-based test seats and 4 video-call speaking test rooms. It can provide two types of computer-based test: IELTS and IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). Registration work for the two tests will start recently, and more details will be released on the official IELTS registration website (??????s.neea.cn/).

 Currently there is one paper-based test center and one computer-based test center of  IELTS in Wenzhou, and both are located in our college. It provides a much easier access to local candidates and those from the neighboring cities to choose the appropriate test date and take the test nearby. Our new computer-based test center boasts six advantages: firstly the high efficiency of result release, almost within 3 days right after the test; secondly the flexible schedule of test date, as more computer-based tests can be handled in a week, and the speaking test can be arranged on or close to that date; thirdly the longer stretch of registration period, with the deadline for computer-based examination registration adjusted from 5 a.m. 7 days before the examination to 4 days; fourthly the quietness of the examination room, facilitated with independent cubicles, computers and professional noise reduction headsets; fifthly the intelligent test system, equipped with many functions such as countdown, highlight marker, note taking and word counting; sixthly the abundant resources for test preparation, with the paper-based test preparation materials available as well as all other kinds officially offered by the institution.
